Jane is a COS Parenting Facilitator. The Circle of Security Parenting program is based on 50 years research about how secure parent-child relationships can be supported and strengthened, and how this type of early intervention can affect outcomes for the child across the lifespan. COS-P is primarily designed for caregivers of children who are four months of age through six years.
The three main concepts are;
an understanding that children need to go out to explore the world
that children need to come in to their caregivers regularly for comfort especially if they are hurt or frightened
that caregivers need to provide a secure base for the children in their care. They can do this by being BIGGER, STRONGER, WISER, KIND.
